Steve/Danny and kids

After rewatching the hilarious "Are you crying?" "You're not a father" exchange from Lapa'au, I need Daddy!Steve fic. Steve adopting kids, gaining custody from an old girlfriend, mpreg with Danny... I'm not picky. I just want to see Steve (and Danny) with kids.

Oh goodness! I can recommend a bunch to you! These are just off the top of my head, but I know there are others!

Bulletproof Baby Blankets by
Stories of Steve and Danny and their life together. Including their children. (Not mpreg - not that there's anything wrong with that.) No particular order to the stories. I'll write and post them as my muses allow.

Autumn's Lullaby by mneme2434
Steve thought he was pretty content with the way his life was heading, until Catherine showed up on his doorstep with a surprise he never expected. The surprise leads to unexpected revelations between him and Danny, and the future starts to look even more promising. That is, until one person decides a little revenge against Steve is in order and causes Steve to question whether he made the right choices.

But Why Daddy? (wip)
She showed up on his doorstep after being gone for six months. She didn’t stay long either, only long enough to give birth to the baby she was carrying. Just as quickly as she appeared, she disappeared again, this time taking the one thing he now lives for – his daughter.

Tumblin’ Down (Into the Sea) by
Sarah Adrienne McGarrett bursts into the world at 11:17 am on the twenty-first of May. Her father’s daughter through-and-through, she sees no real benefit in giving anyone advance notice of her movements and barely forty minutes pass between Catherine’s first twinge of labour and the moment the doctor deposits the squirming, irate baby on her stomach. She – the baby – has a scattering of dark curly hair on her head, her mother’s nose and her father’s long fingers. She also has, as every person in the delivery room can attest to, a set of fully matured, functioning lungs.

From Small Things by
Hiking has never been Danny’s idea of a good time but Steve likes it and because Steve likes it, Sarah likes it . There a lot of things Danny’s never expected to see on Steve’s person and an infant hiking pack is one of them but he’s wearing one now and Sarah’s perched comfortably in it, periodically pushing herself upright and gabbling eagerly about something that’s caught her eye before settling back down, her feet drumming a lazy rhythm against her father’s lower back.

Spinning a Solid White Light by
"It turns out that the black eyes is the first of many injuries – both real and imagined – she incurs now she’s mobile. “Got bump! Daddy kiss bedder!” is a constant refrain in the house." Sarah learns to walk. Steve learns what matters.

The Quiver and Cry of my Heart by
And to hell with Steve and his stupid damn policy of always telling Sarah the truth, because now Danny has to sit here while Steve tells his four year old daughter he’s going to war.

A Weary Heaviness by
"Helplessness does not sit easily or comfortably with Steve – not generally, and particularly not where his girl is concerned. He picks up his phone half a dozen times to text Danny but makes himself put it down again before he can send the message, because he’s Sarah’s father, damnit, he can do this. " Sarah's sick. Steve panics. Danny soothes.

I really like this one:

things that matter too much to say any way but lightly by faviconsomehowunbroken

Written for the stevedannoslash After Holidays Prompt Fest. The prompt: A/U. Steve is raising his daughter Grace alone; he left the SEALs to care for her after her mother was killed. He was never with her mother; Steve always knew he was gay, but was trying to be straight to please his father. Grace was the result of Steve's only night with a woman.

Danny transferred to the HPD after his wife/child were killed in a mob hit in NJ; he needed to get as far away from the memories as possible. He ends up working on Steve's task force, but has a hard time seeing Steve and Grace together. It doesn't take long for Steve to fall in love with Danny, but he's too scared to do anything about it. Danny doesn't want to feel anything anymore, but is still drawn to Steve. Grace decides to take matters in to her own hands, and make the family she's always wanted.
